Lofted Garden Shed FAQ

A gambrel roof shed has two main slopes per side. A common reason to have a gambrel roof shed is that they usually have a loft, which allows for additional storage.

Lofted sheds are a great place for storage or even additional sleeping. Other uses could include a play space or even a place for pets.

With no credit check, you can finance your lofted shed with the rent to own financing option.

Building your own lofted shed is usually cheaper than buying, but you lose the high-quality and all that time when you do that!

Lofted sheds are more expensive than standard sheds, because of the additional work and material for the loft areas.

The size of the loft is dependent on the width and length, but the height will be between 3’ – 3 ½’.

The lofts sit on top of the sidewalls, which are either 6’ 4 ½” or 6’ 8 ½” in the lofted shed.

I have two buildings from Countryside Barns on my property. The first one is a lofted garden shed purchased a delivered in 2016. The second is a garage purchased in 2023. The second was originally going to be a small 8’X12’ garden shed. Due to a variance requirement with the city, I was not able to place the small garden shed in the respectable place I selected on my property. Countryside Barns was understanding, I put a halt on the order 6 days after placing it. Thank you, Jessica! I selected a new location on my property and was able to go bigger 14’X32’. I also decided to go with a portable garage vs a garden shed. With a copy of the approved permit and my down payment I signed the contract. With both buildings I have had a few issues but they were taken care of. EDIT: Photos are from months later, they did not install rock, landscaping, gutters, concrete, or electrical.
