3. Build

Finally, the part we’re all waiting for, you will get to watch your custom structure be built.

Lofted Cabin FAQ

The cabin shed is most commonly used for a weekend get-away cabin, tiny home, office, or hunting cabin.

Even if you have low credit, there is still financing available. With rent to own, you can finance your cabin shed with no credit check!

There are several different items to consider when trying to decide whether to build or buy your cabin shed. A few of the most important would be your time, the hassle, cost, and quality. Although the cost is cheaper to build your own cabin shed, in return, you spend your time going through the hassle of purchasing material and putting it together. Also, when you build instead of trusting it to a shed building company, you don’t have any guarantees that the cabin is built to the high quality mark.

Since the cabin shed is portable, a permit may not be required. However, it is best to check with your city or zoning, as each place is different.

Usually anywhere from 2-15 people – in order to determine how many people could sleep in the cabin, you would first need to determine the size and design of the cabin.

Most certainly a cabin shed can be turned into a guesthouse! All it takes is a finished interior package from Countryside Barns, and you can have a great place for guests!

It is certainly safe to sleep in a shed, assuming you don’t have anything with a gas engine parked in the shed, you have heat for the winter, and so forth. Countryside Barns can finish out a shed just like a house, so it’s super safe!

When it comes to purchasing a Cabin, Countryside Barns strives to build the highest quality cabin shed for our customers at an affordable price. From ordering to manufacturing to delivery and installation, we handle the whole process.

Brian Koppenhoefer

I have two buildings from Countryside Barns on my property. The first one is a lofted garden shed purchased a delivered in 2016. The second is a garage purchased in 2023. The second was originally going to be a small 8’X12’ garden shed. Due to a variance requirement with the city, I was not able to place the small garden shed in the respectable place I selected on my property. Countryside Barns was understanding, I put a halt on the order 6 days after placing it. Thank you, Jessica! I selected a new location on my property and was able to go bigger 14’X32’. I also decided to go with a portable garage vs a garden shed. With a copy of the approved permit and my down payment I signed the contract. With both buildings I have had a few issues but they were taken care of. EDIT: Photos are from months later, they did not install rock, landscaping, gutters, concrete, or electrical.

Jesse & Erin Rieker

Great to work with! We love our shed!

John Streit

Highly recommended. Our new shed fits nicely with our renovated space and looks great. The design process was easy and ended up being just what we wanted. I appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail, and we are sure to get many years of use out of it. It’s great to work with local businesses.

Darcy Newell

Both the product and the installation process exceeded all expectations! Everything was done exactly when they said it would be, and the quality of construction is exceptional. Patrick made the delivery and checked leveling very carefully and even took the time to add a couple bumpers to the door and touch up paint on the base or at a tiny scratch from installation. This shed is certainly built to last!

Marco

I had the pleasure of working with Brian, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome of my experience! From the design of our shed to the seamless delivery, everything exceeded my expectations!
